New Hire in Dayton

Cox owned WHIO (Dayton) has cut off a piece of KAKE.
The station announced it has hired Monica Castro, a Reporter with KAKE (Wichita) as a new Reporter at the station.
Castro signed off from KAKE on Friday and is making her way to Ohio.
"I've been in Wichita for more than four years and I've loved every minute of it," Castro says "I've been in the Sunflower State for nearly a decade, so it's hard leaving. What I've loved about Wichita is the people. Everyone has always been so nice and friendly."
A Houston native, Castro graduated from Kansas State University in 2010 with a degree in broadcast journalism. After college, Castro worked at KSNT-TV in Topeka and at a station in Texas before coming to KAKE.
