We head back to the left coast for our pick as the 3rd best person in TV news.

Our pick at No. 3 is the only person on the "Best" list that FTVLive has met personally and in fact, we have known her for almost 20 years.

FTVLive picks the one and only Lauren Sivan as the 3rd best person in TV news for 2017.

Sivan had a wild 2017. She continued to do her work at KTTV which included anchoring, reporting, weather and wherever else they needed her to fill in.

She continued to spot by Fox News and make appearances from time to time. Of course, the biggest moment for her had to be stopping by the FTVLive Netcast and talking to yours truly.

In October, Sivan became the news when she shared her story about being sexually harassed by movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Sivan came forward to tell her story, not for money, not for fame but as one of the first to stand up in the #MeToo moment and put a face to the story. She wasn't filling some multi-million dollar lawsuit. She just wanted others to know that she had their back.

During this time, Sivan and I exchanged text messages and I asked her if she was OK? She assured me she was and said, "you know me, I can handle it."

That's the thing about Lauren Sivan....she is one of the strongest women I know. She can take a punch better than most in the ego filled world of TV news.

Sivan is also about as funny of a person as I know. Her sense of humor is so quick, it's almost scary.

Despite her mental toughness and her quick wit, Lauren Sivan is a genuinely a nice person. She will always lend a helping hand and is willing to laugh at herself as much as anyone I know.

There is not an egotistical bone in her body and it the world of TV news that's saying something.

And that my friends, lands Lauren in the No. 3 spot of the best people in TV news.
