More Out the Door in San Antonio

Would the last TV news people to leave the San Antonio market, please get the lights?

I guess when you have stations owned by Sinclair and Tegna, you should expect a lot of turnover and it sure has happened.

The San Antonio Express News says that the latest to walk out are KABB (Sinclair) weather veteran Shaun Stevens, who bid farewell to his job of 12 years Friday to devote his energies to a new career in outside of news.

Also, KENS (Tegna) reporter Natassia Paloma leaves for an anchor job closer to her family (sure she did).

They follow in the footsteps of Sarah Lucero, Karen Grace and Alicia Neaves, formerly of KENS, who also exited their jobs in recent weeks.

“I am leaving the station on the best of terms. My contract was up back in November but agreed with management to work through the end of the year. I’ll be staying here in San Antonio. This is my home. I started a real estate investment company about a year and a half ago. I’ve been working it as a part-time side gig, but will be giving it a full-time effort now,” Stevens said.

“Goodbye, KENS 5. Thank you, (News Director) Jack Acosta and (General Manager) Tom Cury for giving me the opportunity to grow as a reporter!” Paloma wrote on Facebook. “San Antonio and KENS will always have a special place in my heart — my son was born here! You all took such good care of me, will miss everyone!”
