A former Tulsa Anchor is about to resurface in Raleigh for the Feb book. 

WCNC has announced that they have hired  Taniya Wright as the new weekday morning and noon co-anchor.

Wright, previously worked at KJRH in Tulsa, Okla., will join Russ Bowen, Paul Heggen and Erin Clanahan starting Feb. 1.

WNCN news director Ed Trauschke said he first became aware of Wright’s work two years ago and was “immediately impressed with her wit and personality.”

Wright also worked more than six years at WFLA in Tampa.
