Jeff Zucker $25+ Million Dollar Mistake

Back last March, FTVLive told you that CNN boss Jeff Zucker paid a YouTube "star" $25 million bucks to come to CNN and bring his app Beme with him.

Zucker said that he made the high dollar hire after his teenage son told him it was a good idea.

Well, it appears little Zucker is following in dad's footsteps in screwing up the cable news network.

Not even a year later and CNN is parting ways with YouTuber Casey Neistat and shutting down Beme as a stand-alone company.

At a CNN Townhall meeting, Zucker said if he had the chance to waste another $25 = million bucks, he would do it all over again. "The only mistake we could make would be to stop taking chances," he said.

Ummmm.... Mr. Zucker I have the shareholders on line 1.

CNN says that of the 22 employees who worked with on Beme, they will try to find them new jobs in the company, but that some will be laid off.

Neistat walks away with $25 million bucks.

We're guessing that Jeff Zucker's son will still get his allowance.

Here is how Neistat tried to spin the news of the failed venture with CNN.
