WBZ Sports Anchor Dan Roche was recognized by his peers.

 Roche was named Massachusetts Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association.

It is the second time Roche won the award, which is given annually to recognize excellence in sports media. He previously was recognized in 2014.

Roche has been with WBZ since 1999.

This Boston News Director also recently won an award, but for some reason, the station has put it on their website yet.
