Back After Beating Cancer

2018 is starting out as a great year for WVEC Weather Anchor Crystal Harper.
Harper is expected to return to work at the station on January 15th after taking on cancer and kicking its ass.
The Anchor underwent 12 rounds of chemotherapy in an apparently successful fight against Stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system.
Her boss, Channel 13 news director Douglas Wieder, welcomes the good news. “We feel beyond blessed that Crystal will be rejoining our newsroom.”
After undergoing a PET scan last month to determine whether her body was free of the disease, Harper said, “My doctors told me, ‘Go ahead and call yourself cancer-free.’ ”
That is certainly some good news.
"I owe a huge thanks to everyone reading this right now because whether you realize it or not, you have helped me get through the worst months of my life," Crystal Harper said on Facebook.
