Former St. Louis Reporter Busted on Drug Charges

Former KSDK Reporter Jeffrey Small was charged Tuesday with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was busted when St. Louis police Officer Nathaniel Hendren stopped Small’s vehicle in the 6500 block of Manchester Avenue on Jan. 6 because his front right headlight was out, according to charging documents.
Small pulled into the parking lot of strip mall on the block, stopped, got out and approached the officer’s patrol car, charges say. Hendren said in court documents that he “learned that the defendant had active bench warrants in multiple jurisdictions” in Missouri, prompting Hendren to arrest Small.
Small referred questions Tuesday to his lawyer Travis Noble, who said he is investigating the case further and seeking a copy of the police report.
“He’s assured me that it’s not true,” Noble said. “He’s assured me he’s not guilty. My guess is that we’ll be fighting it.”
