The Networks Move Into Florida

With Irma ready to make her Florida appearance this weekend, the TV networks have descended on the Sunshine State.

ABC's David Muir has actually decided to show up this time after taking off for Hurricane Harvey.  Lester Holt is here for NBC and CBS News is being Anchored by Jeff Glor. Glor is pulling double duty, he's anchoring both the morning and evening newscasts. Also, another worthless fact, Jeff Glor and I went to the same high school in Western New York.

CBS says it will provide special reports to their stations on Saturday and Sunday.  ABC says they will tack on more news coverage throughout the weekend and although we haven't heard from NBC, we expect extra coverage as well.

As for the cable networks, Fox News, MSNBC plan on extensive coverage from Florida.

CNN also plans on going wall to wall with Hurricane coverage, but if Donald Trump passes gas, CNN's coverage plans could shift.

At some point, FTVLive will embed a Twitter feed on our site and will give you our coverage of the storm first hand from the FTVLive World HQ.
