Hurricane Irma is turning in the Atlantic and the people in Florida are not taking her lightly.

In my 20 years+ in Florida and covering a number of Hurricanes, this is by far the first storm that I have watched the residents of Florida prepare for. You can't find a bottle of water and lines are long at the gas stations.

So often you see people just brush off the storm and the media hype, but not this time. With images of Harvey still fresh, Florida residents aren't messing around this time.

As for FTVLive?

The more trusted computer model has FTVLive dead in Irma's path. At this point, as Donald Trump would say, "It's not good."

We have moved the FTVLive Intern to a secure location, so when we lose power, he'll be able to fill in.

Rory, the cats and myself will ride out Irma and just hope she goes easy on us.

I was scared, but then I ran into Irma at the local Publix and she doesn't seem as mean as everyone makes her out to be (check the name tag).
