Longtime WSYR (Syracuse) Anchor Rod Wood has been missing from the air and viewers want to know, what's up?"

The station says that Wood is recuperating after being hospitalized for a medical procedure.

"He is looking forward to returning to work as soon as he is back to his usual 100 percent," the television station said after hearing concerns from viewers about Wood's absence.

The station did not say what the procedure was?

His former co-anchor Carrie Lazarus posted a photo of herself visiting Wood in the hospital Friday, saying he's "on the road to recovery."

We're guessing that Ron has undergone gender reassignment surgery and will return the anchor desk as "Rose Wood."

Ok, maybe that's not happening, but if the station is going to omit the facts, people are going to guess what procedure he had done?

Just saying....
