Going to 3 Hours Live

New York City's NY1 is going to start doing it live for 3 straight hours. 

The NY Daily News says that the New York cable news channel is completely rebranding its early-day programming by launching a live, three-hour morning show centering on venerable anchor Pat Kiernan, the Daily News has learned.

Current the station airs a taped news loop each hour. 

The totally refurbished program will run from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. every weekday and is slated to premiere in late October.
