The next 30 Hours is going to be Rough
/The weather here at the FTVLive World HQ has deteriorated quite a bit. At 4AM this morning high winds and rain had moved into the area and Hurricane Irma is still a day away.
This is going to be a rough 30 hours and I could lose power at any time.
Stations accross Florida have been going wall to wall, getting viewers ready for the next couple of days. For news crews, it has almost got monotonous doing the same Hurricane prep stories over and over.
In the next couple of hours, the main event finally starts. Irma is expected to move into Florida's mainland early this afternoon/
Basically the entire state of Florida will feel Hurricane force winds at some point and the destrution will be massive.
Yesterday, I was sent a number of warnings on my phone, warning of Irma. As you are walking through Target and everyone gets the same alert on their phone at the exact same time, it's a sight to be hold.
The FTVLive Twitter feed is embeded at the top of the page, so when we do lose power, hopefully cell service will still be working.
It's been a long build up, but it's almost showtime.
To all the Journalists in Florida, don't be stupid, stay safe and tell the story.
Hang on!
