Say What?

Crews in Florida have been working around the clock for days, warning viewers about the impending Hurricane and then covering the event itself.

They are already tired and soon it will be about the damage and the clean up that follows.

Of course, they also have to deal with the "special" viewers, the ones that only care about themselves. Like this lady that was not happy that the residents of Florida were coming to Georiga and taking up their hotel rooms.

The lady was off base, but so was the person at WINK (Ft.Myers) that answered her back in a special way:

We have a feeling they were trying to do so from their personal account and not the station account. But, having the TV station tell a viewer to go to hell is not a good thing. Then again, this viewer is way outside the viewing area, so, you know what, she can go to hell (then again if you are in small town Georgia, aren't you already there?).

Then you have the viewers that are mad that the TV station is preempting college football to try and save lives.

WPLG (Miami) Managing Editor Peggy Phillip had a very direct message for them.

We could say don't blame Peggy, she's been putting in long hours with little sleep. But the fact is, we know Peggy and this is how she always talks.

I love social media.
