Before Irma's arrival here at the FTVLive World HQ, I thought I would make one more venture outside to check on conditions.

So, I hopped into the FTVLive Hurricane Hummer Gustbuster 9000 (actually, it's just my car, but consultants say we need a catchy name to keep you guys interested).

Winds are up and still, Irma is hours away. Even in the dark, you could see the trees bending and we have taken on a lot of water. The problem with being on the east side of the eye, it's the wet side as Irma pulls water from the ocean and dumps it right on us.

South Florida has seen the worse pass and as the sun comes up, they will see what Hurricane Irma left in her wake.

Our shot happens in a few hours and it's not looking good.

For now, it's time to park the FTVLive Hurricane Hummer Gustbuster 9000 and ride this baby out.
