That's Pushing it a Bit

Some Reporters in Houston have put down the mic to help pitch in with rescue teams and actually make some rescues of their own.

Now a Reporter in Memphis is being hailed for "rescuing" a woman from her flooded car.

WHBQ Reporter Jeremy Pierre was going live in the 5PM newscast, just as some woman tried to drive her car through flood waters and ...well....you know how that worked out.

Pierre helped the woman out of the car and carried her through the water to dry land.

It was a nice gesture and certainly nice to see a TV reporter step in and help.

By the late newscast, the station was hailing Pierre as a hero for pulling the woman from her car in high waters and saving her.

High water? it was below his knee. Rescue? I think she could have walked out by herself.

What Pierre did was held stop the woman from getting her shoes wet.

It was a nice move by the Memphis Reporter, but then the station tried to hype into something it was not.

Watch the clip and see if you agree?
