New GM Named in Roanoke

WSLS in Roanoke has a new boss.

The station announced that they have hired Jaimie León as their Vice President and General Manager of the Graham Media station.

León joined Graham Media Group in 2006. As the Business Manager for WPLG in Miami.

Emily Barr, President and Chief Executive Officer of Graham Media Group, said: “Jaimie has distinguished herself as a stellar business manager and key executive at Graham Media Group. Her keen focus and enthusiastic leadership has made significant contributions to the success of our Company. She is a dynamic leader with a strong sense of community and a deep respect for local news. I am thrilled to have her in this new role.”

León began her television career at WFOR, the CBS owned & operated station in Miami as an accountant in 2003.
