KDFM (Beaumont) Reporter Ashley DeVriend covered the story of a Firefighter that was killed while on the scene of a traffic accident. 

Silsbee Fire Department Assistant Chief Jay Hinkie was killed, when he was struck by a car Wednesday afternoon while working a traffic accident.

DeVriend was covering the story for the Sinclair station.
