Scripps Photographer Had to be Rescued From Flood Waters

Socrates Lozano works as a Photojournalist for Scripps and was in Texas covering the storm when he himself had to be rescued. 

Lozano was staying at a hotel in Port Arthur, Texas, when all the sudden the flood waters began to rise quickly.  

Lozano said it only took moments for the water to go from just a few inches to chest deep. 

Lozano's hotel was surrounded by flood water for more than 12 hours before getting rescued Wednesday afternoon.
