It used to be, when someone left TV news, it was most likely they would land a job in PR.

But, now you see people leaving to go into politics, sell furniture, cars or start a blog.

After 9 years doing weather at WTHR in Indianapolis, Nicole Misencik left the station and has now found life after the TV newsroom.

So? What is she doing now?

Public relations. I guess some things will always be in style.

Misencik is taking a lead role at an Indianapolis marketing company. She's been hired as director of client services for Collective Alternative, a marketing, advertising and public relations firm.

She left WTHR (Channel 13) in September after nine years as a meteorologist.

“Each day at Collective Alternative I get to do something I love: tell stories,” Misencik said in a statement. “Our team focuses on local businesses and entrepreneurs who are the life of our state."
