Anchor and News Director

It always nice when you are not only the Anchor, but also the News Director at the station.
That way you can put out memos, saying what a great job your Anchor is doing and when it comes time to ask the boss for a raise, you're at a big advantage.
Back in May of 2016, Drew Speier left PA stations WBRE/WYOU for his home state of Texas and to help take care of his 92 year old Mom.
He landed a job as the 5PM weekday anchor at KRIS in Corpus Christi and also served as the night side Executive Producer.
Well now, he's getting a bump up.
Speier is moving over to sisiter station KZTV as News Director and evening 6 and 10PM anchor.
Same company, same newsroom just switching from KRIS to KZTV.
He replaces Paul Alexander, who had been the ND of both stations but now will focus his energy on KRIS while Speier assumes the ND position at KZTV.
