Fired Employee is Suing Tegna's Tampa Station

Back in June of last year, FTVLive told you about a social media post by Theresa Collington the Director of Digital Content and Operations at WTSP.

You may remember the boy that was killed by an alligator at Walt Disney World. While the search was still going on for the boy, Collington posted this message: 

After FTVLive posted the story, Collington was fired from the Tegna station. 

Word is that  Collington has now filed a lawsuit against the station and its owner Tegna, claiming that she was discriminated against. 

Her suit claims that others at the station have made similar posts but that had no disciplinary action taken against them.
