CNN cut ties with their "Trump Supporter Commentator" after he sent out his "Sieg Heil!" tweet at Angelo Carusone, the president of the liberal group Media Matters.
Lord tried all day to defend his tweet and finally CNN canned him. "Nazi salutes are indefensible," a CNN spokesperson said. "Jeffrey Lord is no longer with the network."
Lord found out he was fired while traveling in a CNN-provided car service to the network. While still in the car, Lord told CNN media critic Brian Stelter, "I love CNN, but I feel they are caving to bullies here," he said, arguing that his tweet was misunderstood.
He should have just gotten drunk and got his ear pierced.
