Miami Anchor Resurfaces in Sacramento

KCRA in Sacramento announced that they have hired a new Anchor.

The station says that Walter Makaula will be joining the News team starting Today as a weekend Anchor and weekday Reporter.

Makaula most recently at WFOR, the CBS station in Miami, where he anchored their weekday morning newscasts. Before that, he spent more than five years anchoring at the FOX station in San Diego. Makaula grew up in Hawaii and has worked at both the NBC and CBS affiliates in Honolulu. 

“We are very excited to welcome Walter to KCRA 3 News,” said KCRA 3 News Director Lori Waldon. “He is an excellent storyteller who brings a lot of passion to his work. He’s a great addition to our team, and we know our viewers will welcome him too.”
