We wrote, "Our guess is that Spectrum Sports is either going away or being merged together with the news stations."
Well guess what?
Yesterday, Charter said, “We have decided to cease operations for the linear channels of Spectrum Sports in Florida at the end of the year, after the high school football season ends."
They said that many of the jobs will be relocated to Bay News 9 and News 13, which is exactly what FTVLive predicted would happen.
But, it appears not everyone will make the move. At least 6 people were told there jobs are being eliminated.
Since Charter has taken over the cable stations they have been scaling back and trying to cut their way to prosperity.
History shows, that does not work.
