Seriously?

Another example of "All About Me TV" at WFSB in Hartford.

The station's Morning Anchor  Irene O'Connor turned 50 years old and the way the station acted, you would have thought she turned 5.

Not only did they have cake, they threw a parade for O'Connor. And then put the parade on the newscast.

We said anybody could throw a party for someone's 50th. Anybody could get a cake and have it on the desk," O'Connor's co- Anchor Eric Parker said. "I said 'No. We're gonna throw a parade.'"

The weather was not good and it literally did rain on her parade, but the station said that didn't stop dozens (dozens?) of people from coming to watch the parade that was run in the A block of the newscast.

What did O'Connor think of the parade?

"I thought this was a complete joke," O'Connor said.

We could not have said it better ourselves.
