At the top of the 6PM newscast, Raycom owned WWBT (Richmond, VA) reported that a local man was killed in a fire.

The station also reported about the man's death online.

But later, the station updated the story and the dead guy was no longer dead.

The station posted this correction to their website, "We need to issue a correction on a story we reported at the top of our 6 p.m. newscast, as well as an online article, which has since been deleted. Family members tell us Shawn Ross has not passed away but is in fact alive. Earlier this evening ..."

The station has since deleted the correction from their website, so at this point the guy is either dead, or he's not dead.

Just good solid Journalism....don't ya think?
