Last night Donald Trump Jr. went on his uncle's cable news show and tried to spin his controversy as best he could.

Jr. wasn't about to answer questions from any real Journalists, but he was willing to talk to Dad's BFF Sean Hannity at Fox News.

"Donald Trump Jr. was limping, so Sean Hannity carried him through their interview on Fox News on Tuesday night, " said the Washington Post.

Hannity opened the show by ripping the media for what he characterized as deeply biased coverage of President Trump and Russia. He slammed the media repeatedly in his questions to Trump Jr.

It was Jr and Hannity verses the rest of the media and they were both going to do their best to try and put as much lipstick on the pig as they could.

Trump Jr got caught lying by the NY Times and now Uncle Sean was there to help.

The most newsworthy bite from Jr?

“In retrospect, I probably would have done things a little differently,” he told uncle Sean.

Gee you think? His name is Donald Jr., but this guy is clearly Captain Obvious.

The Post writes that Trump Jr. could not match Hannity's anti-media intensity. After the first commercial break, Hannity played a montage of recent criticism directed at Trump Jr. on other networks.

“What's your reaction to that?” Hannity asked.

“Listen, I think politics is a dirty game,” Trump Jr. replied. “We’ve seen the sides they take. We’ve seen the commentary they’ve had on my father. Uh, you know, I think it’s a little bit ridiculous and overplayed, and I think people are getting that. I think the media has really done themselves a disservice by picking sides so flagrantly. They’ve really driven people to actually have to think about it because — it’s just a tough game.”

Of course it was the "failing", "fake news" New York Times that brought this story to the people of this country. It's a huge story and one that could bring down the entire house of cards.

No wonder Hannity and Trump want the media out of the picture.

Hannity did take a few shots at CNN on Twitter and says he knows they will be using his softball interview with Jr. all day today.
