Goodbye Mr. Smith

Former KTTV/KTLA Reporter Bill Smith passed away and KTLA's Sam Rubin did a good job at looking back at Smith's life on the air in LA news. 

Rubin also took on the issue of when Smith was forced out at KTLA. Rubin referred to how Smith was pushed out at the station when it was run by a "dopey billionaire" i.e. Sam Zell and an "evil news consultant" i.e. Steve Charlier. 

It seems Sam wanted to say what Bill Smith was too nice to say in public.
