There is no doubt that many people hate the media and so some TV newsies are looking for jobs outside of TV.
One former North Carolina Reporter is taking a leap into a new life, but I'm not sure the hate is going to end.
He's becoming a politician.
Former WECT (Wilmington) Reporter Justin Smith filed the paperwork to run for a District 1 seat on the Whiteville City Council at the Columbus County Board of Elections Monday morning.
“My professional experience with the Columbus County Economic Development Commission and Southeastern Community College provided me with valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges facing our community,” Smith said.
Spoken like a true politician.
