The Joke that is CNN

Although, Jeff Zucker, Brian Stelter and the rest of the gang at CNN don't want to admit it.... CNN has become a laughing stock as a news source.

Just talk to regular people, who have no involvement in TV news and ask mention CNN. I have done that same thing many times and the reactions are many, but respected news operation is never one of them.

CNN latest stumble in a very long list of recent stumbles, involves 3 staffers being asked to resign after a retraction of a story linking a Trump transition team member to the Russia-related investigations.

It was a story that Brian Stelter completely ignored on his ironically named show Reliable Sources on Sunday. On Sunday, Stelter only covered the story in his news letter. Do you think he would have ignored the story on his Sunday show, if it was Fox News?

Stelter is less of a media reporter and more of a cheerleader for CNN and only delved deep into the story when every other media outlet jumped on it.

Once again, CNN has given all of Journalism a black eye, something that they have done time and again in the past.

"Zucker stressed that this issue was a ‘lapse in editorial standards’ and said it was a lesson to all reporters and editors to continue to strive for strong, accurate reporting,” according to a CNN source.

At the network cable news level, the staff should not need a lesson on how to do, "strong, accurate reporting".... that should be well ingrained standard operating procedure.

Back to CNN being a joke, yesterday on Twitter the hashtag #MoreTrustedThanCNN was trending and it showed just what a joke Zucker and his cable news channel have become.

Here is a very small example:
