The Best Newscast in the Country

It comes as no surprise that the best newscast in the country is produced by a bunch of kids.

Cronkite News, the nightly newscast produced by Arizona State University students at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, was named the top newscast in the country by the Society of Professional Journalists.

Of course, this was in a category of school newscasts, but that still means that Medill, Mizzou and all the others can bow down to ASU.

This the fourth time in seven years and the fifth time since 2005, Cronkite News won in the best newscast category in the SPJ’s prestigious national Mark of Excellence Awards, more than any other school in the nation.

Congrats to the kids at ASU, now go out in the real world, where "breaking news" is sponsored and your corporate bosses send down must run stories that are nothing more than political B.S.

Enjoy it now kids...... cause it's all downhill from here.
