Speaking of Fox News....

Just before 9AM, the network sent out this email:

Of course, despite the fact that Fox News says they confirmed the story, it wasn't true. Shortly after the Fox News report, Congressman Williams' office released this statement: "Congressman Williams was not shot, however a member of his staff was shot and is receiving medical attention."

Again....in an effort to be first, another news outlet gave out false information to viewers.

As to who at Fox News "confirmed" that Williams was shot, we don't know, but FNC might want to send them back for a refresher course on how to confirm a story.

BTW - Fox News has gone away from the slogan "Fair and Balanced" to "Most Watched, Most Trusted."

A few more stories like this and the Fox will be dropping the "most trusted" part soon.
