Power Outage Knocks Wichita Off the Air

A nasty thunderstorm moved across the Wichita area and ended up knocking KAKE off the air for most of their morning newscast.
Anchor Annette Lawless was going to just sit around in the dark. Lawless quickly fired up Facebook Live and the station did an impromptu newscast on social media.
The quick thinking Anchor and others helped keep viewers informed as to what was happening.
