Former Houston Reporter Seriously Injured in Car Crash

Former KTRK Investigative Reporter Wayne Dolcefino has been involved in a car crash and was seriously hurt.
The crash happened crash just west of Brady, Texas yesterday morning.
Dolcefino is currently in critical condition at University Medical Center in San Antonio.
According to the Texas DPS, Dolcefino was driving his 2015 Lexus northbound on U.S. 87 near the intersection of FM 2088 headed to San Angelo. At approximately 10:40 a.m., a driver was headed southbound in another Lexus, and was attempting to pass a line of trucks. The southbound Lexus driver moved into Dolcefino’s lane of traffic to pass the trucks. Dolcefino attempted an evasive maneuver that was matched unintentionally by the oncoming car. The two cars collided.
Dolcefino worked at KTRK for 26 years before departing in 2012.
He was known for his hard-hitting investigative reporting, where he exposed countless scandals and political wrongdoing throughout the city.
He now runs his own consulting firm, Dolcefino Consulting, which provides crisis management, ethics reviews, informational marketing and other services.
