The Tegna Turnover in Austin

FTVLive told you yesterday that Tegna owned KVUE is losing their News Director, after less than a year on the job.

But, this is nothing new for the Austin station.

This station is a prime example of Tegna Turnover. 

Let's look at just some of the turnover at KVUE recently:

In basically the last two years the station has gone through: 
2 news directors
1 general manager (early retirement)
1 chief photographer
2 sales directors
1 promotion manager
25+ year veteran chief meteorologist (Tegna early retirement)
2 male anchors (both left the business)
Multiple reporters have come and gone, including veteran reporters
2 assistant news directors

Add to the list a number of MMJ's plus Producers and Associate Producers and you can see that KVUE is in a constant state of change. 

Tegna always likes to replace the person that left with someone making less money. If they keep up this pace, people will soon be working at the station for just a few bucks a year.
