/We have not seen an official announcement, but it appears that WMC (Memphis) could be grounding their news chopper.
The station has redirected the News Chopper 5 page on Facebook, to their news page.
Also, their News Chopper 5 page on the station's website has been changed with no longer mentioning that, "Chopper 5 is the only Mid-South news chopper, proudly serving Action News 5 in Memphis, TN and surrounding areas."
It appears that Raycom is grounding the news chopper in a cost saving move.
