Fake Forecast in Buffalo and Indianapolis
/This is the story about two fake weather forecasts.
One by someone that was just trying to prank people and the other by the so called experts.
In Indianapolis, someone jumped on Facebook and posted about a huge storm that was coming to the area that could dump as much as a foot of snow.
It was "fake news" and the forecast that was posted was from 3 years ago.
WISH Meteorologist Ken Brewer called out the fake on social media.
In Buffalo, the bogus forecast was delivered by the weather people on TV and it left a lot of kids steaming mad.
The weather folks in Buffalo predicted a massive lake effect snow to start on Wednesday morning. That had many kids thinking they might be getting a snow day and no school.
Needless to say, the kids were pissed when they woke up Wednesday morning to see just a few flakes and no snow on the ground.
School was still on.
The Buffalo station is still saying that the snow is coming, it's just going to be later than predicted and further south than predicted.
I guess that's as close as you're going to get to, "we screwed up".
