Scripps Names A New GM

It took Scripps about four months, but at last, a decision has been made on a new GM in Indianapolis.  Back in September, FTVLive told you that Larry Blackerby was out. Corporate sent in divisional GM Steve Wasserman and then former Scripps GM, Jeff Block to hold down the fort (How many GM's does it take to run a station?)

Scripps went internal and gave the gig to Lana Durban Scott. She's a senior director of news strategy and operations for Scripps. She's spent her entire career with the company.

Here's the PR-infused press release, if you like that sort of thing.  One thing that caught our attention was the part that says she was promoted to this position? Hmmmm..... we always thought a corporate role trumped a single station, local role.

No word on who is getting demoted to fill her corporate role.
