This should be a bit of motivation for all you AP's out there.
In 1994, Bridget Breen started as an Associate Producer at KTIV in Sioux City. On January 1st, she becomes the General Manager of the station.
Sure....it's still Iowa, but that is one long and steady climb.
Breen currently serves as station manager.
She takes over the general management responsibilities from Jerry Watson, who has served as general manager since 2004 and continues as a regional vice president for Quincy Media Inc., which owns KTIV.
Breen joined KTIV full time in 1994 as an AP on the station’s morning news. She also served as an editor, photographer, reporter, anchor, news producer and assignment editor.
In 2000, Breen was named the station’s news director, promoted to director of news and operations in 2009, and station manager in 2012.
This should be a lesson to all of you. That AP your harassing this morning could be your GM one day and then you are in big trouble.
