CNN: It Wasn't Anderson
/OK, this story gets even more strange by the minute.
Yesterday morning, CNN Anderson Cooper's Twitter account responded to a tweet by President Trump about Roy Moore's losing Senate bid.
Trump sent some B.S. tweet that tried to backtrack on his supporting the first Republican Senate candidate to love in Alabama in a generation.
Cooper's Twitter responded with:
While Coop's tweet was liked around 20,000 times, the CNN host said that he did not send the tweet and claimed that his account was somehow hacked.
It is very odd for anyone's Twitter account to be hacked and just a single tweet is sent out. Even more odd that the tweet was responding to another tweet.
CNN says that they investigated the matter and this is the l̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶e̶x̶c̶u̶s̶e̶ statement they released:
"Geolocation tools confirm that the tweet in question was not sent from Anderson Cooper's phone," CNN said Wednesday afternoon. "Anderson was in Washington, and we have proof the tweet was sent from New York, from a phone belonging to his assistant. His assistant inadvertently left his phone unlocked and unattended at the gym early this morning, and someone took the phone and sent the tweet. His assistant, who has worked with Anderson for more than a decade, is the only other person with access to Anderson's Twitter account."
Is there anyone that buys this?
Anyone?
Bueller? Beuller?
So, let's get this straight.... Anderson Cooper's assistant goes to the gym to work out. He takes along his phone but just leaves it sitting around in the gym unlocked. What person on the planet doesn't lock their phone? Also, you're at a gym in NY and you just leave your phone just laying around.
But, luckily for Anderson's assistant, the person that just happened to find the phone didn't want to steal it. No....they decided to pick up this phone and not run off with it, but sit down, open up Twitter and read through the timeline.
Then the person decided, you know I think I will respond to some tweets.
So, despite the fact that this is not their phone, the person is now responding to the President on Twitter.
The person puts the phone back down and walks away and not a single person noticed. It was the perfect crime!
Expect the fact that CNN has top investigators and they busted the case wide open.
Through their investigation, they were able to uncover the only case in history of an unlocked phone laying around in New York that was not stolen.
Not only that, the would be thief was able to find the phone, open up Twitter and respond to tweets.
Ummmmm? Sorry, but this sounds like complete and utter bullshit.
This maybe the FAKEST "fake news" that CNN has ever tried to report.
