KXRM (Colorado Springs) Chief Meteorologist Justin Chambers announced that he is leaving the station and headed east of the Mississippi.

Chambers says that he has taken a job at a Nashville station, although he did not say which one.

“Colorado is the most beautiful state we have ever lived in,” said Chambers. “This community in southern Colorado has been so warm and welcoming to my family and me, it makes it hard to leave. My Fox 21 family is just that, family. The people I have had the privilege to work with over the past five and half years are some of the best in the business.”

“Justin has been a great member of the Fox 21 weather team,” said KXRM News Director, Joe Cole. “He has a wonderful sense of humor and was able to balance that with credible weather forecasting. While we will certainly miss Justin he has earned the career advancement to a bigger television market and we wish him all the best.”

Chambers' began at KXRM in April 3, 2012. In May of 2015 he moved into the chief meteorologist position after Terry Gerbstadt retired.
