Greta Stops By The Villages

If you live in Florida, there is a good bet you have heard of The Villages.

The Villages is a GIANT retire community located in central Florida. The joke around here is that the old people move to Florida, their parents move to The Villages.

The other thing The Villages is known for is that they have one of the highest rates of STD's in the entire state. It seems the old folks still like to shag.

But, according to The Villages newspaper the Daily Sun, the olds took time out from boffing each other to head down to the local bookstore to meet Greta Van Susteren.

The Daily Sun writes, dozens flocked to Barnes & Noble Booksellers at Lake Sumter Landing on Thursday to welcome longtime former Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren.

Van Susteren paid a visit to Florida’s Friendliest Hometown to promote her newest book “Everything You Need to Know about Social Media: Without Having to Call A Kid” and host a signing event for fans. “We followed her for years,” said Chuck Meyer, of the Village of Osceola Hills.

Social media isn’t necessarily anything foreign to Meyer, who says he uses sites like Facebook as a tool for communicating with his son whose currently living in Thailand. That’s not to say he won’t be picking up a few tips and tricks from Van Susteren’s new book.

But the real reason Meyer arrived was the chance to come face-to-face with Van Susteren, whose appeared on other networks like CNN and MSNBC.

You can be mentioned in the NY Times, or the Washington Post, but you know you have really made it when you are in The Villages Daily Sun.
