Drudging UP the News at CNN
/FTVLive has been telling you that the future of CNN boss Jeff Zucker at CNN does not seem so bright.
Word is that if AT&T gets the approval to buy Turner, including CNN, they will kick Zucker to the curb. But, now the DOJ is hinting to AT&T if they want the deal to go through, they are going to have to sell off CNN.
So, does that mean Zucker has a chance of surviving?
No says Matt Drudge, who sent out this tweet. Which CNN quickly responded to:
The problem here is, yes CNN's ratings are up, but so are all the other cable news channels. MSNBC is now regularly beating CNN and Zucker's network is often finding themselves in last place.
CNN is only basing their tweets on their own numbers. Yes they are up (thanks to a Donald Trump and his antics), but they aren't up nearly as much as MSNBC's numbers are.
The argument could be made that if Zucker wasn't in charge at this point and time, CNN could be the number one cable news channel and not the number 3.
So....is Matt Drudge right?
Time will tell, but there is no doubt that CNN would be a better network with Jeff Zucker gone.
