Breaking News? Not Even Close!

This might be more broken news than it is breaking news. 

ABC O&O KGO in San Francisco sent out this "BREAKING NEWS" alert that was happening 3000 miles away in Florida.

Gee....do you think KGO's parent company Walt Disney told them to do this? 

I get that the parent company wants to have all this synergy crap, but calling this "breaking news" and pushing it out as an alert does nothing for KGO's credibility and its standing as a legitimate news source with the viewers. 

Both KGO and Disney should be ashamed for pulling this crap.
