WLS Reporter Laura Podesta joined the ABC O&O two years ago and now she's leaving.

 Podesta handed in her notice last week and he's headed to the Big Apple.

She will work at  CBS NewsPath and is making the move to NY to be with her husband, sports cinematographer Sebastian Podesta.

Before coming to Chi-Town, Podesta worked at KOAT, the ABC affiliate in Albuquerque.

“Laura’s done a terrific job here and we will miss her energy, enthusiasm and of course her reporting skills,” ABC 7 news director Jennifer Graves wrote to staff.

Her last day at the station will be October 21.
