FTVLive woke up early this morning and just a short time later, Twitter started to get very active. This is not something we are used to seeing in the wee hours of the morning.

Word was coming down about a mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip and it was bad.

50 plus are dead, over 200 hundred plus injured and Vegas TV stations were rushing crews to the scene and calling people into work.

Watching the early coverage shows that all the Las Vegas stations are doing a good job in their coverage.

At this early stage of the game, if you had to give one station the edge, it would likely be Scripps owned KTNV. The coverage has been solid with trying to stay on point and only report facts.

So far, the other Vegas stations are also doing well with coverage.

While the local stations have been solid with their coverage, of course, cable news will be in Sin City in mass later Today and they will turn this shooting into a political football that will be punted around and make sure that each side keeps on hating each other.

Hurricanes, earthquakes, North Korea, bombings, and mass shootings make you feel like this world is really fucked up right now.

It's heartbreaking....
