President Johnson once said about the great Walter Cronkite, “If I’ve lost Cronkite, I’ve lost Middle America.”

Well CNN just lost the Valparaiso Family YMCA in Illinois.

Under complaints of "Fake News", last Friday, the YMCA stopped airing CNN on its televisions in the facility's wellness and exercise area.

Customers in the Y said they were sick of CNN and it's "fake news" and the cable news channel was shut off.

On Monday morning, Debra Koeppen, the YMCA's chief development officer. said YMCA officials had a meeting about the complaints. It culminated with a press release statement later that day from Robert Wanek, CEO of the Valpo Y.

"In order to eliminate perceived political bias associated with national news outlets, the Valparaiso Family YMCA will only be showing local news channels in the future," he said.

So now if you go to the Valparaiso Family YMCA in Illinois, you can no longer watch national news networks such as CNN, C-Span, MSNBC or FOX News.
