Sources are telling FTVLive that Sinclair's pink slip express has pulled up at ABC 33/40 WBMA in Birmingham.

No body count as of yet, but two sources tell FTVLive at least three people were whacked.

One of the names we are hearing (although not yet confirmed) is longtime sports anchor Jeff Speegle. UPDATE: Sources were right on the department, but wrong on the guy. Speegle is still employed, but sports director Mike Raita got the axe. He'd been with the station since it went on the air in 1996.

We now know Sinclair also canned Linda Mays. Mays had also been with the station since 1996 and was the Noon and 5pm anchor.
