Portland News Director Shuffling off to Buffalo
/FTVLive FIRST told you minutes after a news staff meeting broke up at KOIN in Portland yesterday evening.
We FIRST reported that KOIN News Director Kate Glover told the staff that she is leaving the station and headed to Tegna owned WGRZ in Buffalo.
Glover was spotted interviewing for the WGRZ job recently and sources tell FTVLive that she was made an offer last week.
Yesterday, the staff at KOIN was called to a meeting, where Glover told them she was headed to Buffalo.
Glover joins a long list of KOIN staffers that have left the station since it was announced that it was being purchased by Nextsar.
The list includes, GM Adrienne Roark have fled the station and landed across the street at KPTV.
When Roark left KOIN like a fleeing refugee, she has been taking a number other KOIN employees with her.
Here's a list of others that have gotten out of KOIN before Nexstar moves in and are setting up shop at KPTV.
Denise Daniels - General Sales Manager
Jamie Holmes - Creative Services Director
Dean Snyder - Digital Sales Manager
Kira King - National/Political Sales
Dean Gustafson - Senior Account Executive (Over 30 years at KOIN)
Jason Crow - Photographer
And here is a list of people that left KOIN, but are not headed to KPTV:
Jonathan Simmons - Photographer
Jeff Merrill - Producer
Larry Renteria - Director
Guy Oekerman - Director of Research
Now you can add Glover to the list.
Could the last one out, please get the lights?
